The electoral institute obeys the court
The General Council of the IECM approved what it had to approve. He complied, to the letter, with the ruling of the Electoral Court of Mexico City that ordered him to review the papers again. It was not his own decision, it was an act of administrative obedience.
“With this resolution the IECM reaffirms its commitment to respecting the best interests of militancy,” explained the Institute.
A commitment that, curiously, needed a judge to remind him. The original resolution in favor of registration had already been validated by the Superior Chamber of the TEPJF. But here we are, giving another spin to the same issue.
A deadline and a team to meet
The new state leadership of the party is made up of five people: Karla López Celis, Sergio Iván Galindo Hernández, Polimnia Romana Sierra Bárcena, Luz del Carmen Rocha Silva and Rocío Sánchez Pérez. Your mission is clear and has a deadline.
They have 60 business days to complete the entire registration process. The clock started ticking. It is enough time if there are no more ‘administrative’ obstacles in the way.
What this ruling really implies is simple: the procedure continues because a court said it had to continue. The IECM moves its chip because it had to move it. The ball is once again in the court of the PRD-CDMX.
