The Senator of the Republic, Manuel Huerta Ladrón de Guevara, criticized the increase in public transportation rates in Veracruz, considering that it has been handled in a disorderly manner and without clear information for citizens, which generates uncertainty and directly affects the most vulnerable sectors.

The legislator stressed that transportation must be conceived as a right to mobility and not only as a business, so any rate adjustment – he said – must be based on dialogue, transparency and strict adherence to the law. He warned that unilateral increases negatively impact lower-income families and do not guarantee an improvement in the quality of service.

In that sense, he called to review the current model, listen to all the sectors involved and avoid privileges for concessionaires who, historically, have not offered efficient or safe transportation for the population.

At the national level, Huerta Ladrón de Guevara celebrated that the president of Mexico maintains direct communication with citizens about the defense of national sovereignty and the bilateral relationship with the United States, especially in matters of international trade and security. He recognized the efforts of Secretary Marcelo Ebrard in Washington, as well as the progress in the negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement and the growth of Mexican exports beyond the oil sector.

Likewise, he highlighted the statement of unity of the “Together We Will Make History” coalition towards the electoral processes of 2027 and 2030, considering that it strengthens the legislative and political agenda of the movement.

Regarding parliamentary work, he reported that the Congress of the Union is already formally installed and that the Senate will begin sessions next Tuesday, with a priority agenda that includes electoral reform. In this regard, he agreed with the presidential and citizen position of reducing the cost of elections, reducing financing for political parties and reviewing the number of legislators.

He clarified that there is no plan to eliminate proportional representation, but to rethink it to strengthen the territorial link and prevent party leaders from imposing legislators without contact with the electorate, guaranteeing that those who access representation positions do so through a direct electoral process.

In relation to the tensions between Morena and the Labor Party in Veracruz, derived from alleged pressure on mayors to change parties, the senator considered that the co-optation of elected officials is a political error that generates citizen distrust and violates the popular will. He added that any pressure must be formally reported and not remain informal accusations.

In labor matters, he announced that one of the reforms with the greatest impact will be the reduction of the working day to 40 hours, in addition to initiatives related to security and protection for those who administer justice.

Finally, he thanked the expressions of solidarity received after the road accident that part of his family suffered and confirmed that his daughter and her mother are out of danger and in the process of recovery. He explained that the accident was caused by the fall of a cargo container, a fact that reinforced his position of promoting a legislative review to prohibit the use of double trailers on roads, considering it a permanent risk.

Huerta Ladrón de Guevara pointed out that, after addressing the family situation, he is fully returning to his legislative functions, reiterating his commitment to fulfill the responsibility of popular representation that was conferred upon him.

Xalapa, Ver.— With the firm purpose of modernizing administrative processes and guaranteeing legal certainty for the population, this April 28 the strategic meeting was held for the“Adequate Issuance of Birth Certificates and Implementation of the Electronic Death Certificate (CEDe)”.

The event, which took place at 11:00 a.m. in the Auditorium of the System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF State), brought together municipal authorities and specialists with a clear objective: to standardize the operational criteria for the transition to digital processes in the registration of deaths and to ensure that the registration of untimely births and accidental births is carried out under strict adherence to the current regulatory framework.

Municipal leadership for health

The day stood out for the presence of nine mayors from the central region of the state, who expressed a solid commitment to updating public health services. Among the participating municipalities were:

  • Emiliano Zapata
  • Acatlán
  • Ayahualulco
  • Flag
  • Ixhuatlán del Café
  • Landero and Coss
  • Miahuatlán
  • Tatatila
  • Tlalnelhuayocan

Alliance for technological innovation

A key moment of the meeting was the intervention of Eng. Daniel Antonio Baizabal González, municipal president of Emiliano Zapata and current president of the Veracruz Network of Municipalities for Health (Health Jurisdiction V Xalapa). In his speech, Baizabal González stressed that the implementation of the Electronic Death Certificate (CEDe) represents an essential technological advance to streamline procedures and improve public health statistics in the entity.

Likewise, the participation of Ms. Viridiana Bretón Feito, municipal president of Ixhuatlán del Café and head of the Veracruzan Network of Municipalities for Health in the VI Córdoba Health Jurisdiction, stood out. Both councilors exchanged proposals and strategies for progress, reaffirming the importance of inter-municipal collaboration to raise the quality of life of Veracruz residents.

Guarantee of legality

During the session, the regulatory framework applicable to special cases, such as accidental births, was analyzed in depth in order to avoid delays in the identity of newborns. With these actions, each area involved in these procedures ensures transparent and professional action, aligned with the legal protocols that protect the rights of citizens from birth to certification of death.

Timely monitoring in public health

The day stood out for the active participation and constant work of Dr. Rosa Emilia Rodríguez Acosta, head of Sanitary Jurisdiction V Xalapa, together with the deputy head, Dr. Gerardo Condado Maldonado. Both officials highlighted the importance of maintaining close proximity with local administrations to facilitate compliance with legal protocols.

Their technical support work has been essential so that each area related to these procedures acts with efficiency and transparency. It should be noted that in Health Jurisdiction V Xalapa they were the first to elect their president of the Coordination of the Veracruz Network of Municipalities for Health and have set the standard in work, actions and results that contribute to improving the health situation in Veracruz.

Overshadowing the “Recycled” and “Suspirants”
The phenomenon of Delia González Cobos is sending a direct message to the internal groups of MORENA and the opposition. Its possible opaque incursion into figures that the collective imagination already classifies as “recycled“:

The fed-up block: Names like Ana Miriam Ferráez, Doreny Cayetano or Rosalinda Galindo seem to have exhausted their political capital in the face of a citizenry that demands new faces and greater preparation.

The new weightless faces:* On the other hand, the “suspirants” like Tato Yunes, Toño Ballesteros or the young Vale Moctezuma, although they are looking for spaces, lack the technical fang and administrative career that a capital with structural problems of infrastructure and services demands today.

The Call: The Natural Relief of Ricardo Ahued

It is undeniable that the Secretary of Government, *Ricardo Ahued Bardahuil*, is the great reference for Xalapa. However, Ahued’s leadership has always been based on honesty and administrative efficiency. When looking for someone to hand over the baton of that “Hero of MORENA”, the figure of Delia González Cobos appears as the most faithful mirror.

She fits the vision of Governor Rocío Nahle: profiles of prepared, operational women with a firm hand. Delia is not a “finger-raising” politician in Congress; She is a specialist who knows how to make the resource reach the most needy neighborhoods through impeccable management.

Conclusion: If MORENA wants to increase that 29% participation and regain the trust of the Xalapeños, it needs to stop recycling candidates and start proposing State profiles. The Mrs. Delia González Cobos is not only dressing up for 2027; It seems to be the perfect seam to mend the relationship between the party and the citizens of the capital.
