From hero to villain: Graco Sendel wants you to hate him
Life after being Pedro in Doménica Montero has new plans. Graco Sendel is already in the shoes of his next character: he will be the antagonist of the new soap opera El rerenacer de la Luna. And no, he doesn’t want him to be the cardboard bad guy.
“I don’t want to make an obvious villain, I want to make him very human,” confesses the actor. His idea is to build an evil with nuances, justified by the character’s past experiences. Something that generates rejection, but also… understanding?
The truth is that Gracchus is ready to leave Peter behind. Although he is grateful for everything that role gave him, he does not want to be pigeonholed. “That character already marked me, it is a before and after for my life,” he acknowledges. But now he is looking for something else: for the public to hate him with his new creation.

The basic kit of a traveling actor
Between confessions about his acting process, there was also space for everyday life. What does Graco carry in his backpack when he has an express trip? The answer is pretty millennial hands-on.
Smiling, he said that for a day trip he only needs the essentials: lotion, some pants, a t-shirt, tennis shoes and… an iPad. “Because I’m a studious guy,” he joked. That’s where he reviews the scripts for his projects.
So you know. We will soon see Graco transformed into a villain with psychological depth. And meanwhile, he continues studying his lines on that tablet that is never missing from his luggage. The evolution of an actor who is not afraid of change or being hated for a good reason.
