The defense of the friend
The ambulance controversy is back on track. And this time, Carlos Rivera takes the floor. The singer came forward to defend his friend, Natalia Jiménez, after she received an avalanche of criticism for using an emergency vehicle to attend her birthday party.
Let’s remember the viral video: Natalia traveling in a private ambulance with the siren on, on the way to Huamantla. The networks burned. She later explained that it was for a health issue, after being diagnosed with prediabetes.
Now, Carlos asks for calm and context before judging.
“When there is a logical reason, then when there was already an explanation, then people will know what to do; but obviously there were logical reasons. It’s good that she explained what was happening,”
said the interpreter in Come the joy.
But be careful, he also distances himself: he did not know what each guest would arrive at. Although he admits that the episode left lessons for everyone.
“I invited her. I don’t know what each one (of the guests) was going to get up to, but sometimes these things happen and you learn from everything, right? There too so that we all learn what we have to do and what not to do,”
he added.
Meanwhile, it remains unknown if the ambulance faced any sanctions. What does continue is the online debate.
Users do not completely buy the medical explanation. Comments like “If there were medical reasons, it would have been better to go to a hospital and not to a party” or “Prediabetes is not a medical emergency” continue to circulate.
In the end, there is that uncomfortable feeling of seeing how a trip in a vehicle intended to save lives ends up being the center of a celebrity drama. The lesson seems clear: even to go to a party you have to choose your transportation well.
