Former Nickelodeon star arrested and released after alleged robbery

The Nickelodeon actor was arrested for alleged robbery in Malibu, but released the next day due to lack of evidence.

What happened to the drummer of ‘How to Rock’?

The transition from child star to crime news is an entertainment classic, but this one takes a quick turn. Chris O’Neal, the actor many of us remember as Kevin Reed in the Nickelodeon series How to Rock, spent a night behind bars.

It all started with a call to the Los Angeles police on Monday. The owner of a home in Malibu reported that three men had entered his property. The key: security cameras.

“Apparently, the thieves entered the house from the back and manipulated the cameras,” TMZ reported.

O’Neal was arrested and taken to the county jail. But here comes the plot twist. The next day, Tuesday, they released him.

“There were no sufficient grounds to file a complaint against that person,” a source told TMZ.

Without concrete evidence, the story deflated faster than a series canceled after one season. Speaking of which…

From Gravity 4 to legal problems

Chris, now 31 years old (we’re contemporaries!), was Gravity 4’s drummer on How to Rock. The series did not last long, but the channel continued to have him.

He co-presented You Gotta See This and even starred in the film Swindle alongside Ariana Grande, when they were both promising young people. What times.

Now his name is back in the headlines, but for very different reasons than playing drums for a fictional band on TV. The moral: Even when you think you’ve left your Nickelodeon days behind, the past always finds curious ways to come back.

Emma Heming turns 50 and sends a message about Bruce Willis’ dementia

Emma Heming reflects on turning 50 about the challenges and learnings with her husband Bruce Willis.

Emma Heming Willis, wife of Bruce Willis, celebrated her 50th birthday with a reflection on social media. He accompanied his text with a video of the actor inflating a balloon, in a moment that showed his funniest side.

“Today I turn 50 years old. And I must say that I am ready for this new decade and everything that it brings,” she wrote. She highlighted that her forties were intense, but during them she established herself as a wife, mother, caregiver and defender.

A message of awareness and support

Emma highlighted the work she does with her family through the Emma & Bruce Willis Fund. The goal: raise awareness about frontotemporal dementia (FTD), support caregivers and promote research.

Bruce Willis was diagnosed with FTD in 2023. A year earlier he had announced his retirement from acting due to health problems. This neurodegenerative condition affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, altering behavior, language, and cognitive functions.

The family has shared updates gradually, without neglecting the privacy of the 71-year-old actor, remembered for films like “Die Hard.”

Family support and reactions

Bruce has received the support of his close circle: his ex-wife Demi Moore, his eldest daughters and the two youngest he has with Emma. In her birthday message, Emma expressed her wish for this decade: to achieve a future with more support, resources and hope for families facing dementia, and to reduce stigma.

The publication generated signs of support from followers and entertainment figures. Although the date of the video was not specified, many celebrated “seeing” the actor again in an everyday moment.

‘Sicko Mode’ producer Tay Keith dies at 29

Key trap producer dies at age 29 in Nashville.

Music producer Tay Keith, a central figure in contemporary hip-hop, was found dead on Thursday, June 18, in his apartment in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 29 years old.

No evidence of crime

As reported by Billboard, Nashville Metropolitan Police responded to the scene for a welfare check and found the musician unconscious. The authorities indicated that, so far, there are no signs of a criminal act.

Born Brytavious Lakeith Chambers and originally from Memphis, Keith had 11 songs in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and four number one singles, including “Sicko Mode” by Travis Scott and “First Person Shooter” by Drake. He also set the record for most No. 1 songs on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this decade, with six.

Musical legacy and bridges with country

In addition to collaborating with Eminem, Lil Baby and Gunna, Keith boosted Sexyy Red’s career by producing “Pound Town,” a hit that positioned her as a new voice in commercial hip-hop. He also founded DRUMATIZED, a record label and creative center in Nashville that supported rap and country artists. According to Billboard, it was the second African-American-owned recording studio in that city.

His rise coincided with an academic achievement: in December 2018 he graduated from Middle Tennessee State University, the same month he earned his first number one hit and a Grammy nomination.

The dean of the Faculty of Media and Entertainment at that university, Beverly Keel, recalled for Billboard:

Keith stood out for his intelligence, sensitivity and ability to understand people, qualities that were reflected in his creative work.

He also revealed that the two were recently talking about creating a scholarship in his name to support future students.

Industry reactions

Artists expressed their regret. BlocBoy JB, who Keith collaborated with on “Look Alive,” shared photos and wrote that they talked every day. Producer Hitkidd published that they had been working together since 2010.

So far, Tay Keith’s representatives have not issued a public statement.
