Aislinn Derbez confessed that to work again with Mauricio Ochmann in the film “Hasta el fin del mundo”, she had to resort to therapy. The actress explained that it was her therapist who gave her the certainty that she was ready to face her ex-husband on set.

During the film’s premiere, held in Mexico City, Derbez detailed how therapy was essential for the filming to flow smoothly.

“At first I said: ‘this is going to be very difficult, it’s going to be very uncomfortable,'” he recalled.

The couple was married from 2016 to 2020, they have a daughter together and participated in the reality show “On a trip with the Derbez.” Although they have always maintained mutual respect and admiration, the work reunion was not easy for her. “Until the end of the world” was a project that both had had since they were dating. After the separation, Aislinn took it up again, but Mauricio insisted on acting in it.

After consulting with her therapist, she received the answer: “You’re ready and you’re going to break everyone’s minds,” the actress said, laughing. Already on set, the dynamic was natural.

“Once we were recording it was so nice and so easy to do them together that I said I wasn’t wrong, it was worth it (the therapy),” he added.

On the red carpet, the public asked for a kiss between the two, and Mauricio joked about doing it, supported by Aislinn.

The film, directed by Emiliano Castro Vizcarra and scripted by Melina Figueroa, premieres on July 23.

A global influencer comes to reality

Regarding the possibility of a romance, he confessed that he is single. “On social networks I am very flirtatious, but in real life I am very embarrassing. When I like a girl I only make eye contact; I can’t do other things,” he expressed. Altamimi will seek to conquer the public and demonstrate that, despite the language, he is ready to be one of the protagonists of the new season, which starts next Sunday, July 26.

“This project is very special for both of us and it was really easy and everything flowed very well. In the end I think we have mutual admiration, love and respect that allows us to have this beautiful bond that we maintain.”

The film brings them together 10 years after A la mala (2015), where they fell in love, and after Hazlo como hombre (2017), when they were still a couple. Now they play Manuel and Esmeralda, two people who love each other, separate and meet again 15 years later.

“I think there are things from the past that stay that way, and other loves that do mutate and transform over time.”

Ochmann also spoke about what he has left behind: “Many wounds and ghosts from both childhood and adolescence. Healing them and letting go of them has given me the freedom to continue growing.”
