Eiza González talks about her battle with food and social pressure

The Mexican actress breaks her silence and shares her personal struggle with eating disorders in an emotional post.

The confession that resonated louder than any paper

Eiza González has just released something that many keep silent. On her networks, the Mexican actress opened up about her problems with food, a struggle she has had since adolescence. It was not a casual announcement. It coincides with National Eating Disorders Awareness Week in the United States.

But this goes beyond an opportune gesture. It is the first time that González speaks publicly about this. And it does so with a rawness that takes your breath away.

RelatedDeath is dressed in fame on the altars

The pain that triggered everything

The origin, according to her own account, is marked by a devastating loss. The death of his father when he was 12 years old.

“For most of my life, my relationship with my body has been complicated; it began at an early age, with the sudden death of my father, when I dealt with depression by compulsive eating, trying to calm a pain that I had not processed.”

At 13 years old, he had gained almost 14 kilos. I was dealing with grief, puberty, and utter confusion. Then came an apparent calm… until the public spotlight came on.

At 15, when he began his career, the scrutiny on his physique was brutal.

“Every part of me was dissected, every detail criticized… that level of scrutiny naturally fueled a profound autodysmorphia.”

He confesses that he began to measure his value in kilos. She wondered if losing more weight would make people – or herself – love her more.

The lesson learned (by beating)

The answer was no. That path only led her to a very fragile physical and emotional state. But from this whole process he drew a powerful conclusion.

“The one thing I learned… is how powerful the mind can be and how much we can change when we put our will into it.”

It ensures that the same energy used to “shrink” can be redirected to build what you really dream of being.

The most honest: admit that it is not a won battle. She continues to strive to be kinder to her body.

“I have made a deep commitment to loving my body… I hope that anyone reading this knows that choosing yourself… is much more meaningful. I don’t like to pretend that the journey is over. It’s difficult, complex, but it’s never too late.”

His bravery is already echoed among colleagues. Eva Longoria, Jimena Longoria and other celebrities have applauded his decision to speak out. In a world where networks usually show only the perfect filter, these types of confessions hurt… but they also heal.

Aylín Mujica talks about the loss of her son Mauro Menéndez

Aylín Mujica reveals details of her son's death and clarifies speculations surrounding his departure

In an exclusive interview with the Telemundo program La Mesa Caliente, the Cuban actress and host Aylín Mujica broke the silence about the death of her first-born, Mauro Menéndez, which occurred on July 17. Mujica explained that she decided to speak out earlier than planned to stop the rumors and send a message of strength to other mothers facing a similar situation.

“I was not ready to give an interview but, if it is with you (Verónica Bastos), she is not going to do an interview, she is going to tell, clarify, narrate, give strength to all the mothers who have gone through this.”

The events prior to death

Mujica said that while recording the new season of Top Chef VIP in Colombia, his son Mauro traveled to Miami to visit his grandmother and his younger brothers. There he developed a bad cold that he did not want to treat. His uncle took him to the emergency room, but Mauro refused to go in and opted to take his flight to Barbados, where he had a DJ commitment.

The actress tried to dissuade him over the phone. He told her that he was already at the airport, in a wheelchair, but that he had to leave. The next day, Mauro contacted her to inform her that he had gone to the hospital in Barbados, where he was diagnosed with pneumonia and prescribed antibiotics. He felt good, in his own words: “they already gave me antibiotics, I feel 100%.” That was 24 hours before his death.

Critical hours

In the afternoon, Mujica tried to communicate with his son without success. At 10 p.m., a friend of Mauro responded: he had suffered three seizures while playing soccer. The ambulance arrived late and he was intubated. The doctors revived him seven times, but his heart couldn’t resist.

“The doctor told me that they found a clot in his lung, a clot in his heart.”

Mujica clarified that he did not speak with his son while he was being transferred, as was reported in other media. He could only say a few words to him when he was already unconscious. After receiving the news, he immediately traveled to Barbados.

The actress asked for respect and asked people to stop spreading false information about what happened.
