Will they be brothers again?
The photo that made an entire generation tremble. Josh Peck shared an image with Drake Bell in Las Vegas, and with just one word – “dads” – he unleashed a nostalgic frenzy on social media.
More than 470 thousand likes in a few hours. Proof that “Drake & Josh”, although it ended almost twenty years ago, never really went away.
“I would say there were times when we hung out a lot and were close, and then there was a time when for no particular reason, we just weren’t.”
That’s what Bell confessed last year on Peck’s podcast. Fame, personal problems… the typical dynamic. Life took its toll on that friendship that we saw on screen.
The funny thing is that a few years ago they almost achieved a reboot. Peck wanted a season showing his adulthood, but Bell was hurt by the idea of his character being a failed musician. The project fizzled out.
Now this reunion at the luxurious Fontainebleau Las Vegas raises all hopes. Fan comments leave no room for doubt:
- “The meeting we needed.”
- “Please make a new program where you are now parents.”
- “If Hannah Montana can do it, you can.”
- “The day they make a podcast, they’re going to break it.”
Will it be just a gesture for the gallery or the first step towards something more? After two decades, it seems that the quarrels are behind us. And a generation that grew up with them is ready to give them a second chance… this time as adults.
