Ready for controlled chaos?
In a few hours, Fundidora Park in Monterrey is transformed. It stops being a park and becomes the epicenter of national and international music for three days. Pa’l Norte 2026 is about to start, and this year it comes with a line up that is an explosive mix of pure nostalgia and new sounds.
We’re talking about legends like Guns N’ Roses closing Saturday with ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’, to the always reliable The Killers putting the finishing touch on Sunday. But it’s not just rock. Tyler, The Creator, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Love of Lesbian (which plays TWO times, attention), Morat, Zoé… the list is long and diverse. Even Cuco is in two different scenarios. The boy is everywhere.
Your musical survival map
The key to not getting lost among so many people and so many scenarios is planning. Because yes, you will have to choose. Do you see Interpol or do you go with Myke Towers? Molotov in the acoustic or Cypress Hill in Fusion? They are the existential dilemmas of the festival goer.
The crucial thing here: arrive well. Take the Metrorrey and get off at the Y Griega station. If you get off at ‘Parque Fundidora’, you will end up doing an unplanned trek. Once inside, there are eight stages: Tecate Light, Tecate Original, Fusión Telcel, Oasis Bacardi, KIA Social Club, Acústico Hey Banco, Pilo’s Bar and the mysterious Surprise Viva Stage.
Millennial pro-tip: Download the complete image with the schedules and set it as wallpaper. Your grateful future self will thank you when you have no signal.
What YES and what NOT (seriously)
This is important because no one wants to be kicked out in the middle of a Molotov song. You can bring your cell phone, fanny pack (the fashionable ones, obviously), CREAM sunscreen (not aerosol), and your EMPTY thermos. Yes, empty. You buy hydration there.
What is absolutely prohibited:
- External food or drink (don’t even try it).
- Umbrella or large parasols (wear a cap).
- Electronic cigarettes or vapes (we know why you want them).
- Anything that looks like a weapon or ‘paraphernalia’.
- Drones (seriously? who brings a drone to a concert).
- Large backpacks. Maximum 30×30 cm, that is, smaller than your hope of seeing all the shows.
The vibe is about to begin. It’s that magical moment where thousands of people sing in unison, where you make friends in the bathroom line and where you end up with destroyed feet but a full heart. Pa’l Norte is not just a festival; It is a northern spring rite.
Choose your musical battles well, hydrate more than you think necessary and enjoy the show. See you in the mosh pit.
