The chemistry that ‘Carlota’ promises has already begun during filming
The photos from the first day of recording the series ‘Carlota’ say it all. Belinda, radiant, poses with Miguel Ángel Silvestre. And the connection between them is so palpable that it has already gone viral on all networks.
The funny thing is that this is not new. Beli had already spoken about the Spanish actor more than a decade ago. In 2011, when he was ‘El Duque’ in Without tits there is no paradise, she blurted out without filters:

And on another occasion he also highlighted how gallant he was. Life, or rather, fiction, has brought them together years later.
An ambitious project with a historical romance
Belinda stars in this miniseries that will narrate the life of Carlota, the empress consort of Mexico during the Second Mexican Empire (1864-1867). They promise a contemporary perspective of that era.
Miguel Ángel Silvestre, for his part, will play the soldier Van der Smissen. A character with whom Empress Charlotte – wife of Maximilian of Habsburg – would have had an affair.
Fans have not been slow to revive Belinda’s old statements. And now they ask him, half jokingly, half seriously, to teach classes on how to decree and fulfill dreams. Because if you want something bad enough… apparently the universe grants it to you years later in the form of a gorgeous co-star.
The project is billed as something that will challenge traditional historical narratives. It will explore power, betrayal and politics… even with a touch of humor. But looking at the photos from the filming in Spain, it seems that romance will be one of its strong points.
