La Antigua City Council will suspend work on February 2

La Antigua, Ver. – With the purpose of strengthening citizen attention in emergency situations, Civil Protection and Fire Department personnel of La Antigua participated this Tuesday in a day of operational training.

During the activity, the elements reinforced technical skills, coordination and action protocols, with the aim of improving the capacity to respond to contingencies and provide a more efficient and timely service to the population.

Authorities highlighted that these types of exercises are part of the permanent work to keep personnel prepared and close to the people, prioritizing at all times the safety and well-being of each and every resident of the municipality.

Continuous training, they stressed, is key to adequately confront any emergency and strengthen civil protection for the benefit of the community.

The municipal authorities reported that the call for the election of Municipal Agents and Sub-Agents corresponding to the period 2026-2030 is currently in the process of review and approval by the State Congress.

They indicated that this procedure is part of the established legal guidelines, so it has not yet been officially issued. Once the call is authorized, it will be published through official accounts, so that citizens can know the requirements, dates and the participation process.

Finally, the population was urged to pay attention only to official information, in order to avoid confusion or the spread of unconfirmed data.

On the recommendation of the Civil Protection Coordination, the Mercadito La Antigua Emprende was postponed to tomorrow, Monday, February 2, due to adverse weather conditions and the presence of light rain recorded during the day.

The organizers reported that the event will take place at the same previously established schedule, so the adjustment was only made to the date with the aim of safeguarding the safety of exhibitors and attendees.

Likewise, the understanding of the general public was appreciated and the invitation was extended to come tomorrow and support the local entrepreneurs who are part of this activity.
