Mexican golfers share their inspiring vision to make history in the prestigious tournament.

The Time to Shine at Home Has Arrived!

Do you know what happens when passion, talent and national pride come together? Magic is created! Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz, the greatest exponents of Mexican golf, are ready to make history at the LIV Golf México, and their words are pure motivation for all those who believe in surpassing limits. “Winning at home is not only possible, but it would be a legacy for future generations,” they affirm with conviction. And you know what? That winning mentality is contagious!

A Perfect Field and a Dream to Fulfill

The Chapultepec Golf Club is impeccable, and adjustments to the design—such as turning the 17th hole into the 18th—add excitement to the challenge. Ancer, leader of the Fireballs team (which has won three consecutive victories), does not hide his excitement: “Playing here is an honor, and my goal has always been to lift an important trophy in my homeland.” And when someone visualizes success so clearly, the universe conspires in their favor!

For his part, Carlos Ortiz, member of the Torque team, highlights the unique energy of this tournament: “Joaquín Niemann (our captain) is at an incredible level. This week is our opportunity”. Do you realize? They don’t talk about participating, they talk about winning! And that attitude is what separates the good from the legendary.

More Than a Game: An Inspiration for Mexico

Both golfers proudly assume their role as references. Ortiz says it clearly: “Representing Mexico in elite leagues is a responsibility. Young people look at us, and our game can inspire their dreams”. What a powerful reflection! Every swing, every putt, is a message to those who come behind: «If we can do it, so can you».

Ancer and Ortiz are not only competing for an individual title; They also seek to leave their mark in the team classification. And here is a lesson for everyone: success is multiplied when you work as a team. Can you imagine the impact of his victory on Latin American golf? It would be a watershed, proof that dreams are built with discipline and heart.

Join the Wave of Motivation!

This tournament is not just a sporting event; It is a celebration of perseverance. Each hit by Ancer and Ortiz bears the seal of years of dedication, of falling and getting up, of believing when others doubt. And you, what goal are you pursuing? May his example remind you: obstacles are trampolines in disguise.

Esteban Solari returns to Pumas as new coach

The Argentine takes over after the departure of Efraín Juárez and already works at La Cantera.

Even without an official presentation, Esteban Solari is already leading the university team. His arrival took place after the resignation of Efraín Juárez, and the Argentine strategist comes from Pachuca.

The bond with the institution is deep. Solari played for Pumas in 2007 and now returns as technical director. In his first statements from La Cantera, he expressed:

“Representing Pumas as a coach is a great pride”

The coach stressed the value of university identity and the sense of belonging. He promised to defend the club’s colors and give back to the fans a team with character.

One of his main challenges, he said, is to transform pressure into positive energy for the team. He also announced that he will look for a team with leadership, an offensive vocation and a constant attacking attitude.

Solari knows that the challenge is great. But his history with Pumas gives him a special starting point. Now, the fans wait to see his ideas on the field.

Emma Raducanu withdraws from Wimbledon due to injury

The 2021 US Open champion will not be able to play at home due to a stress fracture in her leg.

Emma Raducanu will not play at Wimbledon. The British tennis player, the 2021 US Open champion, announced her retirement on Sunday night via Instagram due to a stress fracture in her right leg.

She was scheduled to debut on Court 1 on Monday against Antonia Ruzic. The injury had been dragging her since the clay season, but it aggravated during her participation at the Queen’s Club, where she reached the final before losing to Donna Vekic.

On Sunday morning, at a press conference, he still expressed hope of playing. Hours later, a scan changed everything.

“I’ve done everything I can to try and get to the start line tomorrow, but after a final scan tonight, the discomfort I’ve been managing has turned into a stress fracture and I’ve been medically advised to stop pushing. Playing at Wimbledon, in front of a home crowd, means everything to me, so this is really hard to take,” Raducanu wrote.

The Briton has not won another WTA tournament since her surprising title in New York, where she qualified from the qualifying phase at age 18. However, her performance at Queen’s Club showed flashes of her best tennis.

“Queen’s, during that week, was a lot of burden for me,” he declared hours before. “Five games after not having competed for a while. But I’m just handling it with my team the best I can, exhausting all options.”

Wimbledon thus loses its most relevant local card. The organization has not commented on the replacement in the box.

Scheffler and Hovland will go to tiebreaker in Travelers Championship

A crucial putt by Scottie Scheffler forced a playoff Monday against Viktor Hovland.

Scottie Scheffler holed an 8-foot par putt on the 18th hole Sunday and celebrated with his fist raised. That earned him the right to return Monday for a sudden-death playoff against Viktor Hovland at the Travelers Championship.

The final round was stopped for 90 minutes by storms at TPC River Highlands. Officials determined there was not enough daylight to continue, so the playoff was postponed.

Scheffler and Hovland had birdie opportunities on the final hole. Scheffler missed a long putt and then holed the 8-foot par putt for a 68. Hovland shot a 69. They both finished at 21 under par, 259 strokes.

Collin Morikawa closed with an impressive 61 and for a moment shared the lead, but was one stroke away from a tie. It wasn’t enough to force the playoff.
