El Divo de Juárez sneaked into Titirilquén
Last night, the Zócalo of CDMX became an extension of Titirilquén. 31 Minutos arrived with its free concert and more than 230 thousand souls—children, nostalgic millennials and adults who grew up with Tulio—gathered to sing childhood classics.
But the moment that broke networks was another. During “White Tooth, Don’t Go”, the character John Quijada dropped an unexpected verse:
“Tell me when you, tell me when you, tell me when you are going to come back”
Yes, they paraphrased “Querida” by Juan Gabriel. The entire square chanted the reference. It was a wink as natural as it was brilliant: the missing tooth, the farewell, the Divo of Juárez. Pure magic of Chilean humor.
Anacleto became chilango
And it was not the only Mexican detail. The Anacleto Dinosaur uttered the phrase that every foreigner dreams of hearing: “brother, you are already Mexican.” Laughter, applause, and a cultural connection that shows why 31 Minutes is more than a program: it is a bridge between generations and countries.
The concert was a reminder that good humor and music have no borders. And that, sometimes, a missing tooth can unite 230 thousand people in a single cry.
