A cosmic parade will illuminate the sky of Mexico
If you like to look up, get ready. This February ends with a movie-like final act: six planets forming an almost perfect line in the sky. A natural spectacle that promises to leave you breathless.
Popularly known as ‘planetary alignment’, this phenomenon will give a unique postcard. Several worlds will appear to be grouped together in the same strip of sky from our terrestrial perspective.
Although they won’t be perfectly aligned in space, the view will be impressive. According to the specialized site Star Walk, the big moment will come in the last week of the month.
Peak visibility will be on February 28, approximately one hour after sunset.
The Moon will be close to 90% of its illumination, creating an exceptional night landscape. The stage is ready for the performance.
Who are the protagonists?
The star cast is made up of Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. A luxury cast for a fleeting event.
But be careful: only four will be clearly visible to the naked eye: Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn. To see Uranus and Neptune you will need binoculars or a small telescope.
It’s your chance. A cosmic moment that connects our small world with the immensity. Find a dark place, look up and let yourself be surprised by the theater of the universe.
