The red and white illusion went out in Monterrey
They came like a gale, but they left in pieces. Gabriel Milito’s Chivas received a lesson in football—and character—at the Volcán. A 4-1 that hurts more than a normal defeat.
The streak of six games without losing was broken in the worst way. They had not conceded four goals in the entire Milito era. Until last night.
“The worrying thing is that the red and white squad completely fell apart,”
That phrase sums up everything. They offered 20 good minutes, until Daniel Aguirre equalized (24′) and restored hope. But that hope lasted but a sigh.
Rodrigo Aguirre (41′) and Ángel Correa (46′) finished the game before the break. Milito looked for answers, he turned to the attack, but the Count read the game perfectly.
Juan Brunetta closed the show with his double (79′). Pure quality when it was needed most.
Night to forget quickly. Chivas maintain the lead… for now. But this win leaves serious questions for the Liguilla. Milito has work this week.

Roosters continue to fly high
While in Monterrey it was raining goals, in Querétaro it was really raining. And the Gallos Blancos took advantage.
They played their fifth game in a row without losing by beating Necaxa 3-1. They withstood 90 difficult minutes in La Corregidora and came out with the three points.
Both teams are still out of the Liguilla zone, but the Gallos arrive with a better pace on the next date: they will visit Mazatlán. Necaxa will receive just these Tigres who have just beaten the leader.
