The local deputy for Coatzacoalcos, Miguel Guillermo Pintos Guillén, considered the possibility of rescuing a property linked to actress Salma Hayek to be viable and positive to turn it into a cultural space or museum, pointing out that this type of project can trigger tourist interest and strengthen the cultural identity of the city.
In an interview, the legislator stated that from his work in the State Congress he would support any initiative aimed at the recovery of spaces with historical and cultural value. However, he stressed that it will first be necessary to know the current conditions of the property to evaluate the viability of the project.
Pintos Guillén highlighted that in various cities around the world there are similar schemes, such as “star walks” or museums dedicated to film figures, which contribute to attracting visitors and reinforcing the sense of local belonging. In this context, he considered that a museum related to the artistic career of Salma Hayek would be an attractive proposal for Coatzacoalcos.
“Rescuing the house would be very interesting, because it would encourage people to visit it, keep it in good condition, and allow objects related to his career to be exhibited, such as material from his films,” he said.
The deputy reiterated that the conversion of the property into a museum would represent an important attraction for the city, recognizing the international impact of the actress originally from Veracruz and the pride that her career generates in the region.
Finally, he pointed out that these types of initiatives have social support, especially among citizens who admire the artistic career of Salma Hayek, and reiterated his willingness to promote and support projects that contribute to the cultural rescue and strengthening of Coatzacoalcos.

Atzalan, Veracruz. Between dirt roads, natural landscapes and great family coexistence, the 2026 edition of the traditional Citrus Route was successfully carried out, one of the most anticipated adventure events for all-terrain vehicle fans in the region.
From early in the morning, dozens of participants from various municipalities of Veracruz and neighboring states gathered to travel the routes designed by the organizers, crossing rural trails, forested areas and characteristic roads of this municipality located in the central mountainous area of the state. 
The activity brought together drivers of ATVs, ATVs and UTVs, who enjoyed a tour full of excitement, camaraderie and spectacular natural views. During the day, an atmosphere of family coexistence prevailed, strengthening the ties between lovers of motor sports and adventure tourism.
Participants highlighted the hospitality of the inhabitants of Atzalan and the beauty of the natural settings that the region offers, factors that have made the Citrus Route a benchmark for this type of events in Veracruz.
In addition to promoting recreation and sports, the activity represents an important economic benefit for service providers, local businesses and entrepreneurs, who benefit from the arrival of visitors during the development of the event.
Authorities and organizers agreed that the Citrus Route continues to consolidate itself as a platform to promote regional tourism, showing the state and the country the natural, cultural and gastronomic wealth of Atzalan.
With a large participation and white balance, the 2026 edition concluded, leaving a memorable experience for attendees and reaffirming its place as one of the most important off-road meetings in the Veracruz entity.

Xalapa, Ver.— With the firm purpose of modernizing administrative processes and guaranteeing legal certainty for the population, this April 28 the strategic meeting was held for the“Adequate Issuance of Birth Certificates and Implementation of the Electronic Death Certificate (CEDe)”.
The event, which took place at 11:00 a.m. in the Auditorium of the System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF State), brought together municipal authorities and specialists with a clear objective: to standardize the operational criteria for the transition to digital processes in the registration of deaths and to ensure that the registration of untimely births and accidental births is carried out under strict adherence to the current regulatory framework.

The day stood out for the presence of nine mayors from the central region of the state, who expressed a solid commitment to updating public health services. Among the participating municipalities were:

In his speech, Baizabal González stressed that the implementation of the Electronic Death Certificate (CEDe) represents an essential technological advance to streamline procedures and improve public health statistics in the entity.
Likewise, the participation of Ms. Viridiana Bretón Feito, municipal president of Ixhuatlán del Café and head of the Veracruzan Network of Municipalities for Health in the VI Córdoba Health Jurisdiction, stood out. Both councilors exchanged proposals and strategies for progress, reaffirming the importance of inter-municipal collaboration to raise the quality of life of Veracruz residents.
Guarantee of legality
During the session, the regulatory framework applicable to special cases, such as accidental births, was analyzed in depth in order to avoid delays in the identity of newborns. With these actions, each area involved in these procedures ensures transparent and professional action, aligned with the legal protocols that protect the rights of citizens from birth to certification of death.

The day stood out for the active participation and constant work of Dr. Rosa Emilia Rodríguez Acosta, head of Sanitary Jurisdiction V Xalapa, together with the deputy head, Dr. Gerardo Condado Maldonado. Both officials highlighted the importance of maintaining close proximity with local administrations to facilitate compliance with legal protocols.
Their technical support work has been essential so that each area related to these procedures acts with efficiency and transparency. It should be noted that in Health Jurisdiction V Xalapa they were the first to elect their president of the Coordination of the Veracruz Network of Municipalities for Health and have set the standard in work, actions and results that contribute to improving the health situation in Veracruz.
