The earth moved again in Guerrero
This Thursday morning reminded us, once again, that we live in a country where the soil has memory and sometimes decides to speak. An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 shook the southeast region of Tecpan, Guerrero.
According to the National Seismological Service (SSN), the episode occurred at 5:25:59 hours. The epicenter was located just 6 kilometers southeast of the municipality, at a considerable depth of 38 kilometers.
“So far, authorities have not reported material damage or injuries after this seismic event,” official sources reported.
But here is the detail that we cannot ignore: monitoring continues. Authorities are keeping their eyes on the region to rule out any damage that may have been overlooked in the first hours.
These events, although moderate in magnitude, are that constant reminder. They wake us up, literally, with the warning that we must be prepared. The good news today is that it appears the earth just grunted, not wreaking havoc. For now.
