A tragic weekend in Sinaloa
Violence does not let up in Sinaloa, where seven men lost their lives in different parts of the capital and the municipality of Navolato. Among the victims, three were inmates of the Culiacán penitentiary center, identified as Iván “N”, Eduardo “N” and Marcos “N”, who were held in module 17. The authorities have not provided details about the circumstances of their deaths, although witnesses reported shots fired inside the prison.
Impact on the community
At the Limón de los Ramos police station, armed men ended the life of Giovanni “N”, 28 years old, in an attack that also left Anabel “N”, a young convenience store employee, injured by a stray bullet. Meanwhile, in the Cumbres del Sur subdivision, a young man died in the IMSS hospital after being attacked while driving his vehicle.
The wave of violence did not stop there. On the “La Veinte” highway, near an agricultural packaging facility, the body of a young person was found wrapped in black plastic, while another man had the same characteristics in a field near the Fifty highway. Additionally, in the Libertad neighborhood, Alfonso “N”, 41, was injured by a gunshot to the head after an attack from a moving vehicle.
