Sheinbaum categorically denies rumors about an alleged list of narcopoliticians
The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, described as “absolutely false” the rumor about an alleged request by the US government to deliver a list of Mexican officials linked to organized crime. During her morning conference at the National Palace, the federal president denied any formal request in calls with President Donald Trump or in diplomatic meetings.
Bilateral collaboration within the legal framework
Sheinbaum emphasized that cooperation on extraditions is carried out exclusively under the protocols established in the current treaties. “We recently extradited 29 criminals under these legal criteria,” he said, highlighting that these actions respond to institutional commitments and not to external pressures.
The head of the federal Executive questioned the veracity of the journalistic sources that disseminated the information, ironically referring to “commentocrats” who, according to her, promote unsupported narratives. “This is part of a media campaign lacking real privileged information,” he said with a laugh during the meeting with the media.
In addition, he stressed that his administration rejects any form of interference, although it maintains open channels of technical collaboration with the United States in security and justice. He assured that these issues have not affected the bilateral trade relationship, which continues to develop under parameters of mutual benefit.
