The script of solidarity: Mexico maintains its role with Cuba
Claudia Sheinbaum made it clear again. Mexico’s humanitarian aid to Cuba is not an isolated act, it is a line of argument that its government plans to maintain. Two ships loaded with supplies were only the first act.
When asked about citizen participation, with those collection centers in the Zócalo, his response was pure emotional script. Fraternity as a national identity.
“There is a seal in the people of Mexico, which is fraternity. Mexico, our people are characterized by that, by helping others, by helping each other in the family,” said the president.
For Sheinbaum, this transcends the domestic. It is the very heart of its foreign policy. A narrative where Mexico presents itself as the good neighbor in a global scenario full of conflicts.
“The solidarity of the people of Mexico with all the peoples of the world always exists, and particularly when they are experiencing a very difficult situation, as is the case of the people of Cuba at this moment,” he stated.
And here comes the key promise, the one that defines the next chapters. There will be no retreat as long as the plot demands it.
“We are going to continue sending humanitarian aid in whatever is required,” he said.
The final message? The alliance with the island is a strategic pillar. In the current geopolitical theater, Sheinbaum assures that Mexico will not abandon that role. The show continues.
