Shakira visits the Casa Azul with her children after her concerts

After selling out 12 shows, the artist lived an intimate family moment in the painter's sanctuary, surrounded by admiration.

The Secret Epilogue of a Triumph Tour: Shakira at the Frida Sanctuary

The thunderous roar of twelve consecutive nights of glory in Mexico City was beginning to fade, leaving an echo of euphoria and sweat drying on the asphalt. But before silence could completely take over the soul of the metropolis, a pop goddess, charged with the energy of thousands of fervent souls, had a date with history. It was not an appointment with crowds or spotlights, but with a ghost, with an indomitable spirit that lives between cobalt blue walls. Shakira, the world ambassador of rhythm, would not say goodbye to Aztec lands without paying homage at the sacred altar of Frida Kahlo.

Away from the roar of the stadiums, she chose the intimate seclusion of the Blue House, transforming what could have been a simple tourist visit into a moment of deep artistic and maternal connection. At his side, like treasures more precious than any musical trophy, walked his two sentinels, his living legacies: Milán and Sasha. Together, mother and children, they formed a living picture of family devotion, a sublime contrast between global fame and the simplicity of a Sunday walk.

A Meeting of Titans in Coyoacán

The air in Coyoacán, thick with legend, trembled when she crossed the threshold. Fortuitous witnesses, mere mortals who only hoped to honor a painter, suddenly found themselves in the middle of a cosmic event. Their smartphones became improvised chronicles of an event that will remain engraved in the collective memory. The videos, which would later set social media on fire with the ferocity of a forest fire, show a transformed Shakira. She was not the beast on stage, but a serene, almost reverent woman, absorbed by the aura that still emanates from Frida’s brushes, beds and gardens.

Security, a pair of discreet and alert shadows, wove an invisible shield around them, protecting the sacredness of the moment. But not even the most efficient bodyguards could contain the wave of silent admiration that spread through the rooms. The fans, with a pulse broken by emotion, approached not as attackers, but as pilgrims. And she, the accessible divine, reciprocated with a smile that dismantled any barrier, signing autographs and posing for photographs that instantly became digital relics. It was a tacit pact of mutual respect, celebrated in the temple of pain and beauty.

What secrets did Frida’s walls whisper in Shakira’s ear? What parallels between physical pain that was transformed into immortal art and heart wounds sung in multi-platinum resonance resonated in that space? The quiet tour, far from any commotion, was a declaration of principles. Beyond the superstar, there is a mother, an artist in search of inspiration, a woman who finds comfort in the legacy of another woman who also challenged the world. It was the perfect epilogue, a plot twist that no one anticipated: after conquering the city with his voice, he symbolically knelt before the icon who conquered the world with his paintbrush.

This meeting was not a coincidence. It was a deliberate act, a common thread between two creative forces in Latin America separated by time but united by passion, resilience and authenticity. Shakira, by choosing the Blue House as her farewell, elevated her visit to the category of symbol, sealing her Mexican trip not only with commercial success, but with a gesture of profound cultural significance. An ending that is not an ending, but rather the promising prelude of what is to come, now that she carries a bit of Frida’s spirit in her luggage.

Gael García Bernal: ‘It’s going to be difficult for them to beat Mexico’

The Mexican actor trusts in the solidity of El Tri in the World Cup and remembers his love for Pumas.

Gael García Bernal is passionate about soccer and has been a fan of the UNAM Pumas for decades. 25 years ago, in And your mother also, he wore the university team’s shirt. Later, he took his passion to the movies with Rudo y cheesy, where he played a soccer player.

His vision of the Mexican National Team

Today, the actor closely follows the World Cup and the path of El Tri directed by Javier Aguirre, already installed in the round of 32. Regarding the national team, Gael commented to EL UNIVERSAL:

“I see her very well. The only certainty I have is that it will be difficult for them to beat her, I don’t know if Mexico can win (laughs), but it will be difficult for them to beat her.”

He also highlighted the strength of the team:

“They will have to play a great game, (the Mexican team) is very solid, we are playing like never before in terms of defense, tactics, technique, there is a good job and let’s see how far it goes.”

The historic El Tri Pass

Mexico had a perfect group stage: three wins and zero goals conceded, something unprecedented in its history. They beat South Africa (2-0), South Korea (1-0) and Czech Republic (3-0). That earned him first place in the group. Their rival in the next round will come from among the best third places: Ecuador, Uruguay or Escucia are the candidates.

The duel will be played on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Mexico City Stadium, formerly known as Azteca.

Loyal to the Pumas since 1991

Gael’s love for the Pumas was born in 1991, when he and his friend Diego Luna went to the CU Stadium to see the team win the championship against América. Since then he has not stopped supporting them. In the last final of the Mexican tournament, where Pumas lost to Cruz Azul, Gael recognized the merit of his rival.
