Shakira and her mistakes before the 2026 World Cup final
The Colombian singer Shakira revealed that she is still not clear about all the details of her performance at the 2026 World Cup final. In an interview with the English media “Capital FM”, the artist was questioned about the exact moment of her performance, scheduled for Sunday, July 19 at the New York/New Jersey Stadium.
Initially, Shakira stated that she would appear before the start of the match, as occurred at the opening of the tournament. However, her assistant Diana corrected her at that moment: her participation will be during halftime.
“Well, I don’t know if it will be at the beginning or at half time, it will be when it starts,” she said while looking for confirmation from Diana, who got her out of the mistake.
“Will it be at halftime? Oh, it will be during halftime! Oh God…” said the Barranquilla native, visibly embarrassed. He then acknowledged that he should verify his data before sharing it.
An unexpected call in the middle of the interview
In another interview, this time with the Spanish program “La Revuelta”, Shakira experienced an uncomfortable moment when receiving a call while speaking with host David Broncano. The singer worried that the recipient would appear on her screen, unaware that her assistant Diana was crawling to help her divert the call.
“You can’t see who’s calling me, right? He hung up, already, I hung up twice, persistent,” he said without realizing that Broncano and the public had already noticed Diana’s presence.
When the assistant crouched in front of the screen again, Shakira did not hide her embarrassment: “She’s my assistant, she was trying to hang up the call, I see her walking on all fours.” Diana finally approached the screen and waved, and Shakira joked that they had a similar look, referring to her as her “little sister.”
