The singer and actress Sasha Sokol once again spoke out about the legal case she has with the producer Luis de Llano. One year after the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) issued a ruling against him, the public apology ordered for abuse and moral damage has not yet been fulfilled.
In a message broadcast on his social networks, Sokol explained that De Llano has sought legal resources to delay the execution of the sentence, described as irrevocable.
“Yesterday marked one year since the Supreme Court of Justice convicted Luis de Llano for abuse and moral damage, forcing him, among other things, to make a public apology. Luis wants to prolong his impunity, which demonstrates his lack of conscience. He has sought any legal remedy at his disposal to postpone compliance with his sentence. Only postpone, because the sentence is irrevocable,” he said.
The interpreter recounted the time that had passed: more than four decades since the abuse occurred, four years since she decided to report it and 365 days since the highest judicial authority declared the producer guilty. He questioned how much longer he will have to wait for justice to materialize with the fulfillment of the sentence.
“365 days have passed since the highest judicial authority in the country declared him guilty; 4 years since I decided to report him and more than four decades since he abused me. How much longer do we have to wait? Justice is not obtained only with a sentence in favor, but with its fulfillment.”
The case has been closely followed by public opinion, given that it involves well-known figures in the artistic world. Sokol reiterated his demand that what was ordered by the Court be complied with, without further delay.
