Respond to the investigation
The licensed governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, stated that he will attend to the summons from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR). The subpoena is part of the investigations into US accusations of possible links to organized crime.
In his X account, Rocha Moya declared himself “a honest man” and assured that he has nothing to fear. “My biography testifies to what I am,” he wrote. And he added: “I will respond to the request with my head held high and with the certainty that the truth will prevail.”
Actions of the FGR
The FGR reported that it delivered the summons to Rocha Moya and other officials designated by the United States Department of Justice. The accusations come from the Southern District Court of New York, which links these public servants to the Sinaloa Cartel.
The agency clarified that the appearances are ministerial proceedings to gather information and determine responsibilities. Until now, those cited appear as witnesses, not as defendants.
The state president on leave expressed confidence that the investigations will not damage his public image. He reiterated his commitment to transparency and truth in the face of accusations.
