Mexico closes group stage against Czech Republic
The Mexican National Team, led by Javier Aguirre, will play its last match in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup on June 24 at the Mexico City Stadium. The rival will be the Czech Republic, a team that has not met expectations and arrives with just one point after a goalless draw against South Africa.
With the leadership practically assured, the Tricolor could take advantage of the match to give minutes to players with less participation and maintain the pace for the next round.
FIFA announced the referee in charge of the match: the Argentine Yael Falcón. He will be accompanied by his compatriots Maximiliano Del Yesso and Facundo Rodríguez as assistants, forming a South American shortlist with international experience.
Falcón will seek to conduct the match without setbacks, in a duel that, despite the difference in the table, promises to be disputed. The fans expect a good show to close the group stage.
