Tour through the States and Mexico
Roberto Carlos is on tour in the United States. After its presentation at Radio City Music Hall in New York, it continues to Boston, Miami and Orlando. In a telephone interview, the Brazilian singer expressed: “I hope the public leaves happy with the show. We are very excited about having this party.”
At 85 years old, he maintains a full agenda. In addition to the performances on land, in December he will carry out his traditional cruise tour, which has been going on for more than 20 years. “I think I’m a man of the sea, I like the sea,” he said.
In Mexico it was presented at the Mexico City Arena, with capacity for 20,000 attendees. “Always wonderful… Mexicans always treat me very well. This always leaves me very happy,” he said.
New songs and the World Cup
The “Detalles” singer announced that he is preparing songs in Spanish. “Of course the expectation is great for Mexico, I believe that within a month we will be launching something,” he said.
Regarding massive concerts in Copacabana, like those of Madonna or Shakira, Roberto Carlos pointed out that it is not his style. “The shows I do are a little more intimate. But I like it, I’ve already done some,” he explained.
A soccer fan, the Brazilian star was optimistic for the World Cup that will be held partly in Mexico. “I think Brazil is going to do well. I hope they win,” he commented.
