Return with official support
Families that left their homes due to insecurity in Chilapa, Guerrero, began to return to their communities. The operation had support from the Secretariat of National Defense, which transferred people and belongings to towns such as Alcozacán and Coatzingo.
The Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, released images of minors and adults boarding military vehicles to return to their homes. The measure is part of the actions to regain control in the area, affected by recent conflicts.
During a visit to the communities, Rodríguez and Governor Evelyn Salgado proposed setting up a dialogue table between authorities and ejidal commissioners. The objective is to build agreements that allow for the restoration of conditions of peace and coexistence in the region.
