Rafa González, vocalist of Banda Los Recoditos, announced that he will voluntarily enter treatment to address the depression and anxiety that he has been facing for months. Through a statement on social networks, he explained that he decided to prioritize his emotional health to recover and return to the stage.

The announcement comes after months of personal and media pressure. In March, his ex-partner made public accusations of alleged domestic violence, claiming to have experienced more than a decade of alleged physical, psychological and emotional abuse. The woman stated that the attacks affected her mental health and she began psychiatric treatment.

González categorically denied the allegations through videos and statements. He maintained that he was incapable of attacking a woman and that the accusations were part of a smear campaign. He noted that the case was in the hands of the authorities and he trusted the legal process.

As a consequence, Banda Los Recoditos temporarily suspended the singer from his activities. Although he returned briefly, he now recognizes that the accumulation of personal and legal problems led to the deterioration of his emotional health. Therefore, he decided to seek professional help.
