Premier of Mirreyes vs Godinez is canceled after elevator accident

An unexpected incident interrupts the big opening night, leaving the cast and attendees in shock.

A dramatic turn in the most anticipated night

The red carpet was tinged with uncertainty when fate, capricious and cruel, decided to play its most unexpected card. The premier of “Mirreyes vs Godinez: Las Vegas”, an event that promised to be the cinematographic celebration of the year, turned into surreal chaos after the thunderous fall of an elevator in the heart of the luxurious Mitikah shopping center. The roar of collapsing metal resounded like a sinister omen, paralyzing the joy of hundreds of attendees.

Exodus in the dark: the cast under the cloak of mystery

Among the shadows of the evacuation, the stars of the film—Regina Blandón, Michelle Rodríguez, and the rest of the cast—walked like ghosts, their faces illuminated by the emergency lights. “We are destroyed,” whispered a member of the production, as television cameras captured every second of this real drama. Nobody, not even the actors, understood the magnitude of the tragedy until the authorities sealed the fate of the night: two injured, a building in suspense and a truncated premiere.

The murmurs among the staff were a chorus of confusion. “It was as if the world stopped,” said one witness. Meanwhile, outside the chaos, dozens of fans—whose hearts were beating for an autograph or a selfie—were trapped in a limbo between excitement and terror. The irony was palpable: the film that celebrated the most epic rivalries now faced its own invisible villain.

The shadow of what could have been

Blandón, with his voice breaking with emotion, recalled the eight years of camaraderie that unites the cast. “We are a family,” he declared, while their gazes were lost in the emptiness of a deserted red carpet. The film, which was to crown its success this Thursday in theaters, now bore the scar of a cursed night. Social networks were burning with theories: Was it sabotage? A message from destiny? The truth, as in any great plot, was still hidden behind smoke screens.

While Civil Protection sealed the place with yellow tape, a question hung in the air: How would this story continue? Because in the world of entertainment, as in life, the show must go on… but never as planned.

Ernesto Laguardia: from soap opera heartthrob to inhabitant of ‘The House of the Famous’

The 'Quinceañera' actor joins the reality show with a strategy based on values.

Ernesto Laguardia has arrived in the fourth season of The House of the Famous Mexico. But before exposing himself to the public eye 24/7, he had already forged a solid career on Mexican television.

From commercials to youthful heartthrob

Laguardia debuted as a child model and then entered the Center for Artistic Education (CEA) of Televisa. His first acting role was in La Fiera, alongside Victoria Ruffo. A year later he ventured into film with Dune, by David Lynch.

The big leap came at the end of the eighties. He played Pancho in Quinceañera, alongside Adela Noriega. The character, a young mechanic, made him the idol of a generation. The soap opera crossed borders and consolidated it as one of the television station’s promises.

Multifaceted career

Then came titles like Alondra, Poor Relatives, Amor Real and Corona de ojos, where he played Don Rómulo Ancira, his first villain. He also found success as a host: almost a decade on Hoy and at the head of Código F.A.M.A., which allowed him to connect with new generations.

Now, Laguardia faces a different challenge. In The House of the Famous, he will appear more vulnerable, something that contrasts with his usual secrecy.

“My strategy is to enter with an education, with my values, with my limits. I know how to speak crudely, rudely perhaps, but I know how far,” he declared to EL UNIVERSAL.

The reality show marks his return to Televisa, after having emigrated to Azteca in 2017. With more than three decades of career, the actor shows that he still has something new to offer.

ENHYPEN arrives in Mexico with three concerts at Arena CDMX

Three concerts at the CDMX Arena mark ENHYPEN's debut on Mexican soil.

ENHYPEN plays for the first time in Mexico

The K-pop fever doesn’t stop. ENHYPEN, the South Korean group that emerged from the reality show “I-LAND”, will make its debut in Mexico with three concerts at the CDMX Arena. The dates are on July 11, 12 and 14, plus a special presentation on the 15th with the band Santos Bravo.

The group was formed in 2020, when seven young people competed in the Mnet survival program. Its name alludes to the script that connects words, symbolizing the union of different personalities that grow together. The group is made up of Jungwon (leader), Heeseung (main vocalist), Jay (originally from the United States), Jake (Australian), Sunghoon (former figure skater), Sunoo (stage charisma) and Ni-ki (Japanese dancer, the youngest).

What distinguishes ENHYPEN is its narrative concept: a story inspired by vampires, fantastic worlds and the transition from adolescence to adulthood. His videos and presentations build a universe that has captivated millions.

Like any great K-pop group, ENHYPEN has a loyal fan base: the Engene, a name that combines “engine” and “gene.” The idea is that they drive the growth of the band and share a unique bond.

Since its debut on November 30, 2020, ENHYPEN has racked up millions of sales and sold-out dates around the world. His arrival in Mexico has generated enormous expectations. Tickets for the three concerts at the CDMX Arena are still available at Superboletos.

HotSpanish loses control of its TikTok account with 40 million followers

HotSpanish lost access to its TikTok account with 40 million followers after posting a video.

Mexican content creator Roberto González Manzo, 37, known as HotSpanish, reported on Instagram that he lost access to his TikTok account, which has almost 40 million followers.

What happened to your account?

As reported this Wednesday, the page is still active with all the videos, but without a profile photo or username. The incident occurred minutes after publishing a video announcing the second season of his digital reality show “La Mansión VIP”, broadcast on YouTube.

“Yesterday I uploaded a video, which apparently a company didn’t like,” Roberto revealed on social networks.

The creator explained that he has already contacted platform workers to regain control and ruled out that it is an advertising strategy. The video where he reported the situation exceeded one million views on TikTok.

Indirects to “The House of the Famous”

In the video prior to the loss of access, HotSpanish launched an alleged hint at the Televisa program “La Casa de los Famosos México.” It showed a creative team looking for ideas for his format, including dynamics he had already implemented.

“When ‘La Mansión’ was there, they came out to speak badly about me and my format. They said it wasn’t useful… but now I find out that there was a meeting to gather ideas,” he declared on Facebook.

The creator denied rumors about sabotage to the revelation of Karina Torres as an inhabitant of the Televisa reality show: “I am not a person who plays dirty,” he stated.

Second season on the way

“The VIP Mansion” second season will arrive on YouTube in November. “We are going to return better than ever,” González said on Instagram. The first edition ended in May with the businesswoman and influencer Sol León as the winner, who obtained a prize of 2 million pesos.

For its part, “La Casa de los Famosos” continues to reveal participants for its fourth season, which will premiere on July 26 on Las Estrellas. So far the confirmed ones are Ernesto Laguardia, Karina Torres and Ximena Herrera.
