Fiona Chernavskaya, partner of the musician Oliver Tree, dedicated a memory to him on the day he would have turned 33 years old. The designer and photographer published a series of unpublished images and videos of their relationship on her Instagram stories.
The recordings show everyday moments: sound checks, trips and intimate scenes. In one of the images the phrase “33, like Jesus” appears, alluding to the age he would have celebrated.
Artistic legacy
The family of the deceased also paid tribute to him, but focused on his work. They announced that the foundation that Oliver had planned is now a reality. “Oliver created a non-profit organization called ‘Dr. Oliver Tree’s Extremely Epic Art Grant for Baby Geniuses’. He wanted all of his money to go to funding other emerging artists,” they wrote online.
The musician lost his life on June 14 in Rio de Janeiro, after the helicopter he was traveling in collided with another aircraft. Brazilian authorities continue to investigate the causes of the accident.
Live ceremony
Family members reported that a ceremony to celebrate his life will be held on July 25 at the UCSC Quarry Amphitheater. The event will be livestreamed for fans who cannot attend.
Until now, authorities have not determined the origin of the incident. The foundation, meanwhile, seeks to support young talent in all disciplines, fulfilling the vision Oliver Tree had for his legacy.
