The packages weighed approximately 1,360 kilograms, including packaging. They were transferred to the port of Acapulco aboard a Navy aircraft for delivery to the corresponding authorities.
Economic impact and avoided doses
The agency reported that the seized material was made available to the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) and the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) to integrate the investigation folder and determine the ministerial weight.
Semar estimated that the seizure represents an economic impact of around 283 million pesos for organized crime. In addition, the distribution of approximately 2.6 million doses was prevented. In the current administration, there are more than 71 tons of cocaine seized in maritime operations.
