Good news for Natalie Portman!
The actress, who we all remember as little Mathilda or Queen Amidala, is about to expand her family. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she confirmed that she is expecting a baby with her partner, Tanguy Destable.
Destable, 45, is a French electronic music producer who works under the stage name Tepr. Together they are already parents to two older children that Portman had from her previous marriage.
A moment of gratitude (and a lot of energy)
Portman’s statements are pure joy and awareness. He said it clearly:
“Tanguy and I are very excited. I am just very grateful. I know it is a privilege and a miracle.”
The actress also showed special sensitivity when talking about the subject. She grew up the daughter of a fertility doctor, so she is well aware of the difficulties that many people face.
“I grew up hearing how hard it is to get pregnant… I have a lot of people I love who have had a really hard time with it, so I want to be respectful about it too.”
And in case anyone is wondering how he feels physically, he has good news: he says he feels with more energy than he thought he could have. Bravo for her!
Portman is already the mother of Aleph (14) and Amalia (9), the result of her marriage to choreographer Benjamin Millepied, whom she divorced last year. Now this new family chapter begins with great enthusiasm and, apparently, enormous desire.
