Prior to the friendly match of the Mexican National Team against Ghana at the Cuauhtémoc Stadium, Mikel Arreola, president of the Mexican Football Federation, and Paul Forat, Head of Amazon in Latin America, presented the launch of “Un Solo Corazón”, a Grupo Frontera song that seeks to support El Tri heading to the 2026 World Cup.
Music as a bridge with fans
In a press conference, Arreola highlighted the importance of connecting emotionally with followers. “There are ways to convince and one of the best ways to reach people’s hearts is music, especially music sung by a group that has so much penetration among young people, it seems to me that it is Soft Power instead of Hard Power,” he said.
The manager also pointed out that soccer is experiencing a rebound: “For 13 years we have not had so much rating in Mexico and the United States or so much attendance at the stadiums.”
Forat explained that the choice of Grupo Frontera was strategic due to its connection with the audience. “They are the two greatest passions that this country has, music and football. The passion that football generates is incredible and music is exactly the same, they have been going hand in hand for a long time,” he said. “Football is with the kids at school, at a table with your family and you talk about football, you get passionate about it… the same thing happens with music.”
Presentation at halftime
Grupo Frontera will perform “Un Solo Corazón” live during halftime of Mexico vs. Ghana, and the official video will be shown for those attending the venue.
