Mónica Noguera breaks the silence about her outings with Paco Zea

After weeks of speculation, Julieta Venegas clarified that she did not receive 14 million pesos for her participation in “La Niña Futbolista.” In the podcast “What is music?”, the Tijuana native described the rumors as “absurd” and assured that the collaboration was completely free.

The origin of the project

Venegas explained that the invitation came from the Government of Mexico to cover a Patita de Perro song. The intention was to commemorate Children’s Day (April 30) and motivate more girls to play soccer. “I thought it was super nice… a song for the girls to cheer them up,” the 55-year-old singer recalled.

However, the launch was delayed until the end of May. There the song was related to the delivery of tickets for the 2026 World Cup, which changed public perception. The artist pointed out that she never imagined the scope it would have: “No one imagined everything that could happen.”

“I hope that money was invested in culture in one year,” said Venegas about the rumor of the payment.

Settings and reactions

The performer made modifications to the arrangement and lyrics to reinforce a feminist message. “I made some changes to it… I brought it a little to my style,” he commented. These changes sought to support girls, but were interpreted differently by the public.

The artist confessed to feeling sad about how the discussion escalated on the internet. What began as an initiative for children ended in criticism and attacks that moved away from the original objective.

Third inhabitant confirmed

Actress Ximena Herrera was confirmed as the third participant of The House of the Famous Mexico. On Wednesday night, his entry into the reality show was announced.

Herrera, known for her work in Under this same glance and The Lord of the Skies, said she was excited about the challenge. She stated that she is determined to reach the final.

He joins those already announced Ernesto Laguardia and the influencer Karina Torres. The three will compete for the prize of four million pesos and the support of the public.

Sofía Aragón, second finalist of Miss Universe 2019, does not stop. Now he is betting on the vertical format with a psychological thriller about a kidnapping, in which he would also star.

“Vertical stories are what are working a lot,” he explains. “It is a psychological thriller series that talks about a kidnapping. I am fascinated by talking about mental health and, although it is not about that as such, it is required after going through something like that.”

Projects underway

She writes the script herself. The former host of TV Azteca would leave total production in the hands of another person. Sofía studied production, direction and acting at the New York Film Academy and founded her own company.

With her he made the short film The Night, inspired by the tragic loss of his friend Cheslie Kryst, former Miss USA. This work, released in 2024, earned her the award for Best Producer at the LA Independent Women Film Award that year.

Now he is looking to turn that short into a feature film. The woman from Guadalajara is looking for financing and dreams of having a director lead the project. To do this, he attended Iberseries in Madrid and the Platinum Awards, where he forged alliances.

“It is now what I am giving priority to. The short film gave me a lot of visibility about what I want to tell. I hope to soon be able to give more news,” he comments.

He also acts

In parallel, Sofía is still active as an actress. She participated in the series Velvet and premiered the feature film Woman from Another Time on Canela TV, her first leading role in film, alongside the Argentine Rodrigo Guirao.

“She is a woman from 1965 who has to make an important decision. She meets an alushe who gives her a path in life and that transforms her,” she explained to EL UNIVERSAL.
