Almost 5 million doses in three weeks
The Ministry of Health reported that between April 25 and May 15, 4 million 971 thousand 393 doses were applied throughout the country, as part of National Vaccination Day 2026.
The biologicals distributed include vaccines from the basic and complementary schedule: against measles, rubella, tetanus and pneumococcus, in addition to Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) for pregnant women. The priority was minors and vulnerable groups.
Inter-institutional coordination
The result was achieved thanks to the joint work of the IMSS, ISSSTE, Pemex, Semar and Sedena, which reinforced immunization actions throughout the territory.
The agency reiterated that vaccination is one of the most effective interventions to prevent diseases, and invited the population to go to its medical unit to complete schedules throughout May.
