Mexico reaffirms its fight against forced disappearance
The Government of Mexico has responded firmly and transparently to the statements of the UN Committee against Forced Disappearances (CED), rejecting any accusation about the alleged practice of this crime by the State. Mexico is committed to justice and the protection of fundamental rights!
International cooperation and concrete actions
The Secretary of the Interior (Segob) highlighted that the country maintains an active collaboration with the CED, in compliance with the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons against Forced Disappearances. Mexico not only talks, it acts! It will analyze the Committee’s requests and share the progress in public policies to eradicate this scourge.
The CED expressed concern about the situation in Rancho Izaguirre, Jalisco, where relatives of victims face obstacles in accessing information and protection. However, the Mexican Government assures that it does not tolerate threats against search groups and reaffirms its commitment to truth and reparation.
“Mexico does not condone or allow forced disappearance,” Segob stressed. The country promotes forceful measures, aligned with its international obligations on human rights, to guarantee justice and prevent violence. Every step counts in this fight for dignity!
