What a way to respond!
This Sunday, Inter Miami wrote a memorable page. Against all odds and after starting losing 2-0, the Herons turned the score around to win 4-2 against their great rival, Orlando City. A victory that tastes like much more than three points.
The mastermind, as always, was Lionel Messi. The Argentine scored a double that included a great goal from a free kick in the final minutes. But this was team work.
From nightmare to dream
The first half was complicated. Goals from Pasalic (18′) and Ojeda (24′) put Orlando ahead by two. It seemed that the ghosts of the beginning of the season would be repeated.
But Mascherano’s team did not give up. They came out with a different attitude in the second half.
Mateo Silvetti (49′) started the reaction. Eight minutes later, the genie arrived:
Messi took the ball on the edge of the area, between five rivals, and unleashed a cross shot at the left post that Crépeau could not stop.
Telasco Segovia (85′) scored a great goal to make it 3-2. And when it seemed that he would be the figure of the game… the signature of the ten arrived.
The teacher’s signature
In the 90th minute, free kick in favor of Inter Miami. Everyone knew what could happen.
The shot was not high, but it surpassed the four-man barrier and managed to enter the lower part of the right corner, with the collaboration of the goalkeeper who could not stop it under his hands.
World-class soccer in the MLS. Pure Messian essence.
More than a victory
This is not just winning a classic. It’s showing character after a rough start. It is to show that this team has the fiber to overcome adverse situations.
The season is long, but wins like this build confidence. They show that when they play with intensity and believe until the end, they can beat anyone.
The message is clear: Inter Miami comes with everything. And with Messi inspired… be careful what he can achieve.
