A break in the school agenda
With March just around the corner, families are already checking the calendar. The million dollar question: will there be a break before the big Easter break? The answer is yes, and it comes in the form of a megabridge.
Four days to disconnect
According to the official SEP calendar, basic education students will have a four-day bridge. The suspension begins on Friday, March 13, a day dedicated to teaching administrative tasks.
Added to that day are Saturday the 14th and Sunday the 15th (normal weekend) and Monday, March 16, which is a mandatory day of rest. The latter corresponds to the Birth of Benito Juárez.
Although the official commemoration is on March 21, labor legislation allows moving the rest to the previous Monday to generate a long weekend.
Classes resume on Tuesday, March 17. But this is not all. Friday the 27th is marked as School Technical Council (CTE), another day without students.
And then… comes the big prize. The Easter holidays are scheduled from March 30 to April 10. The return to classrooms will be on Monday, April 13.
So now you know: prepare plans for that long weekend and hold on a little longer until the big holidays. The school routine will have its strategic breaks.
