The Queen of Pop was the victim of a very personal theft
Madonna closed her surprise appearance at Coachella 2026 with Sabrina Carpenter and… with a problem. No, it was not a technical failure. Someone took pieces of their history.
Through Instagram, the artist shared the news that overshadowed her return to the festival. Several vintage garments from her personal archive disappeared after the show.
“The vintage pieces I wore disappeared: my wardrobe that I took from my personal archives (jacket, corset, dress and other clothes). These are not just clothes, they are part of my history,”
And boy are they. For those who didn’t grow up with MTV in the 2000s: that Victorian purple outfit is the same one she wore at Coachella 2006. The jacket and corset have their own stories in the 2005 MTV Europe Music Awards and the video for “Hang up.”
A call to his millions of followers
Madonna was not alone with the complaint. He made a direct appeal to his more than 20 million followers to help recover the clothes. He even shared a contact email for his team and offered a reward.
According to TMZ, he has already presented the official report to the authorities. Someone took more than clothes: they took visible pieces of the pop evolution of the last two decades. And Madonna wants that time capsule back.
