The shadow of a rumor that does not disappear
More than two decades have passed since Facundo dropped that bombshell: “Lorena Herrera is a man.” And although it may seem like ancient history, the actress still feels the echo. At Fabián Lavalle’s birthday party, between drinks and flashes, Lore revealed the unfiltered truth.
“Do you know how many contracts I have lost because of that stupid thing he said? Many”
It’s not resentment, it’s reality. She says it herself: she no longer loses sleep. But the professional damage was real. Straight men, his base audience in the 2000s, are gone. And in its place came something unexpected: the support of the LGBT+ public.
“I simply lost my entire heterosexual audience because of his stupidity”
The millionaire challenge
But Lore does not remain silent. With that mix of irony and power that only she has, she launched a direct challenge to Facundo:
“Facundo I challenge you, come on, how much are you going to give me? Let’s leave it at 4 million, I’ll show you and you show me what you’ve been saying for twenty-something years”
Four million pesos. A bet that sounds like revenge with style.
And what does Facundo say?
The comedian has his version. In an interview with Yordi Rosado five years ago, he said that it all started as a trick to increase ratings. According to him, Lore herself suggested simulating a fight on her show. Later, in a club, she would have acted differently when she saw cameras. And that’s where the rumor was born.
“We started talking… and then, poom, we see a camera and then he starts attacking me… I understood the point… I let myself go and said ‘he’s a man'”
Facundo calls it “pure rating.” But for Lore, it was a low blow that cost him careers and fans.
Moral: In show business, rumors can be double-edged swords. Some gain ratings; others lose contracts.
