The actress does not bite her tongue
Laisha Wilkins is using her platform for more than just promoting projects. In the middle of the Easter season, he asked his followers an uncomfortable question: where do you go on vacation when everything seems like a disaster?
His publication on X already exceeds 300 thousand views and a thousand comments. It is not for less. With that acid humor that characterizes her, she listed options that hurt because of how real they sound.
“And where are you going during Holy Week? -To Cancún to wallow in sargassum. -To Veracruz to swim in oil. -To Mazatlán to disappear in a bar. -On the road, to any state, to be kidnapped. -To Guerrero, Michoacán, Edo. Mex., to be murdered out of confusion. Tell me.”
Some users responded with photos of paradisiacal beaches, trying to counteract his pessimism. But Wilkins did not tone down. He continued to criticize government efforts with that irony that hurts because it makes you laugh.
Beyond the stage
This is not his first foray into thorny issues. He recently referred to Senator Gerardo Fernández Noroña as a “remora of the government”, questioning his opulent lifestyle.
He also took the opportunity to mention the electoral reform that did not advance, naming this season as:
“Season of… mango, jacarandas, little fish and stupid initiatives and reforms.”
Wilkins shows that his work goes beyond acting. He hosts “Acá entre news”, a program where he addresses topics such as medical negligence, medicine shortages and disappearances.
What is interesting is how he uses humor as a critical tool. In a country where speaking out can be risky, she chooses sarcasm as a form of resistance. She is not just an actress doing activism—she is a voice that reflects the discomfort of many.
While some celebrate the holidays, she remembers that there are realities that do not disappear because it is time to rest.
