Karol G put the finishing touch to Coachella with a show that was more than music
La Bichota didn’t just come to sing. He came to make a statement. And boy did he achieve it. Closing Coachella 2026 is no small feat, and she turned it into a monumental celebration of Latin culture.
The cave-inspired setting returned, but the surprises were new. The first bomb: Featherweight coming out of the shadows to sing “Qlona.” The crowd, especially the Mexican fans with their flags, went crazy.
“Long live Mexico, Colombia and all our immigrants, we love them very much!”,
That’s what Becky G shouted on stage, during a moment as special as it was powerful: a mariachi made up only of women playing “El Son de la Negra.” It was one of those moments that give you goosebumps.
But more fuel was needed. J Balvin appeared to turn everything on with classics like “Ay Vamos” and “Ginza.” The reggaeton of yesteryear playing in the desert, reaffirming that this rhythm is now living history.
Between carnival costumes and hits like “Tropicoqueta”, the message was clear: this is a party, but with a conscience. A celebration of roots, community and musical power.
The finale came with a remix of “Provenza”, sealing a performance that transcended entertainment. Karol G not only closed a festival; consolidated a space. He demonstrated, once again, that Latin rhythms are not a passing fad. They are the present and have a lot of future ahead of them.
