He leaves the hospital, but the recovery is just beginning
Three days after that fall from a third floor that left us all heartbroken, José Ángel Bichir was finally discharged from the hospital. The young actor left the Rubén Leñero Hospital this afternoon, but the images speak for themselves: the recovery will be long.
We saw him leave with an orthopedic immobilizer on his ankle, a sling and a mask that covered much of his face. His father, Odiseo Bichir, was his shadow and constant support, helping him move from the wheelchair to the car that was waiting for them.
“Yes,” José Ángel confirmed to reporters when they asked him if he would continue with rehabilitation therapies from home.
The scene was tense but dignified. Odysseus, always a gentleman, said goodbye to the hospital workers and even wished the assembled press a good afternoon. But the family’s concern was palpable.
In the distance, the voice of his mother, Mrs. Patricia Pascual, was heard asking the media to stop interrogating the actor. An understandable gesture. Your son just came out of a traumatic experience and needs peace, not more cameras.
Questions about how exactly the accident of last Friday the 13th occurred remain without official answers. For now, the only thing clear is that the path to normality for José Ángel will be slow. We wish you a speedy and complete recovery.
