The filming of Nate Jacobs’ final scene
Jacob Elordi revealed the details of the recording of the sequence in which his character dies in the third season of Euphoria. Nate Jacobs dies after being bitten by a rattlesnake, and the actor spent hours locked inside a coffin to film the scene.
“It was a great way to die. Nate was someone who made so many mistakes and made so many dark choices,” Elordi said in behind-the-scenes footage.
Far from being terrifying, the experience was quite the opposite. The actor assured that the confinement was pleasant: “It was really nice. It was quite calm in there.”
The space inside the coffin was very small. The biggest challenge for the production team was ensuring that the actor had enough oxygen during the hours of filming.
The most intense: the snakes were real. “The snakes sounded and that was alarming when you are locked in a box,” Elordi confessed.
