Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office expands investigation into human trafficking
The Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out an exhaustive investigation to determine if there are more aggravating factors and possible victims linked to producer Alejandro “N”, detained for alleged crimes of human trafficking in the form of sexual exploitation. The authorities have indicated that, so far, they only have one complaint filed by relatives of a 16-year-old teenager, but they do not rule out that there are more victims.
In-depth investigation
Salvador González de los Santos, Attorney General of the State, explained that the prosecuted case includes an aggravating circumstance related to foreign prostitution, but he announced that a complementary stage of investigation will be carried out to corroborate other possible criminal conduct. “We are going to continue investigating whether there are more aggravating circumstances or victims,” said the official, highlighting the importance of reliably proving the charges.
In addition, the authorities will analyze the work environment of the detainee, who is dedicated to the production of adult content, to identify if other people could be affected. “If we receive more complaints, we will act immediately,” said the prosecutor, calling on possible victims or witnesses to present their testimony.
Prior legal process
The case is not new for the judicial system. Alejandro “N” already had a suspended process since 2024, under the figure of conditional suspension, which will be reactivated within the framework of this new investigation. According to authorities, at that time he was also involved with a minor, although it was an allegedly consensual act.
The authorities reiterated their commitment to justice and the protection of victims, ensuring that they will not allow impunity in cases of human exploitation. This case has generated alert in society and reinforces the need for more effective mechanisms to combat these crimes.
