Eric del Castillo, one step away from 92 years old

Next Wednesday, actor Eric del Castillo turns 92. He does it while recovering after surgery to unblock arteries in his legs, but with his spirit intact. This was confirmed by his daughter, the communicator Verónica del Castillo.

“My dad is very grateful and happy, his good mood never goes away after any intervention,” he declared.

The intervention occurred last weekend. Originally, the actor would undergo a procedure to relieve chronic back pain. However, a previous cardiological review detected an obstruction in the iliac arteries of both legs, a condition known as arteriosclerosis.

“They discovered that the arteries in both legs were blocked… thrombosis can occur, but fortunately everything was detected in time,” Verónica explained.

Doctors placed a stent through catheterization, an outpatient procedure. However, they decided to keep him under observation for three days. Since Wednesday, the actor has been recovering at home and is already walking without help.
