The international recognition of Diego Luna
Diego Luna has established himself as one of the most relevant personalities in entertainment worldwide. During the promotion of the second season of Andor, the Star Wars series, the Mexican actor received a new tribute by being included in the prestigious TIME 100 ranking, which highlights global leaders in various fields.
A profile written by an artistic ally
TIME magazine entrusted Luna’s profile to his close collaborator and friend, Gael García Bernal, who highlighted his roots in theater and family influence: “His energy and charisma always pointed to a collective catharsis,” he wrote about their shared beginnings in the industry.
The text highlights the evolution of the interpreter, from his iconic role in And your mother also to his current international projection. This 2025, Luna will alternate projects on television with the premiere of Andor: Season 2 (April 22) and in cinema with the musical Kiss of the Spider Woman (October 10), where she shares credits with Jennifer López.
At the same time, the artist is advancing his career as a director with Ceniza en la boca, an adaptation of the novel by Brenda Navarro, whose filming ended in February and will be released soon.
