Party with a band flavor at the Ángel de la Independencia
Minutes after the final whistle, euphoria overflowed in the heart of Mexico City. The Mexican National Team had defeated Ecuador 2-0 and Reforma Avenue was filled with cheers and flags.
In the middle of the celebration, the Cuisillos Band took the stage with the green Tri shirt. They started with “Little Proud”, although the audio wasn’t perfect, the energy made up for it all. “Mexico City, tonight you can hear the Apache cry,” launched vocalist Rogelio Torres before starting with “No Señor Apache.”
The repertoire included classics such as “Sometimes I Cry”, “Esa Couple” and “Pachuco Bailar”. People didn’t stop dancing, while they went back and forth between Bucareli, Reforma and Guerrero. Some sought to reach the Angel, but the screens already indicated that the site was at maximum capacity.
“We are very grateful that they are with us. The National Team left us pleasantly surprised. And yes?” said the leader of the band, causing the attendees to shout in unison. There was also room for the romantic, with songs like “Remember me” and “How I suffer.”
The members invited them to toast with water, remembering that it was a family party. The rain did not scare anyone away; The music continued playing well into the night. People didn’t want to leave, celebrating the possibility that Mexico could advance in the tournament.
