A romance that was born on stage
Cristian Castro left his single life behind. Over the weekend, during his concert in León, Guanajuato, he brought Vanessa Ríos, his new partner, on stage and they sang together. The show at La Velaria was the setting chosen to make the romance public.
According to “Ventaneando”, the singer met Ríos at the beginning of May, when he performed at the San Marcos National Fair, in Aguascalientes. She traveled from Puerto Vallarta to see him. It was Castro who took the first step: he asked for her phone number.
Background and family distancing
The relationship occurs weeks after a link with producer Victoria Kühne was leaked, whom Castro denied as a girlfriend, ensuring that she was only a colleague. Days later, Kühne released a preview of a song that many associated with the singer. The lyrics include phrases like: “It hurt my soul when I found out so many lies.”
Castro, in “Despierta América”, doubted that it was a dedication: > “In the lyrics of that song it mentions something like ‘let him drink’ and I don’t drink, I don’t think it’s for me.”
The singer also revealed that his mother, Verónica Castro, is upset. “So far he doesn’t want to talk to me,” he said. Veronica had supported the relationship with Kühne and was confused by the way her son handled the situation. In an interview with “Ventaneando”, the actress commented: “She saw everyone’s faces, as always.”
The distancing continues. Veronica praised Kühne as a talented woman and regretted that the relationship did not prosper. For now, Castro is moving forward with Vanessa Ríos, his new partner.
