Canada against Bosnia: the local debut in the 2026 World Cup
The activity of the 2026 North American World Cup continues this Friday with the third match of the tournament. Canada, one of the three host countries, hosts Bosnia and Herzegovina at BMO Field in Toronto. The objective: to achieve their first victory in the World Cup.
Canada arrives with a streak of 11 consecutive games without losing, with six wins and five draws. Since September 2025, when they beat Romania 0-3, Jesse Marsch’s team has remained unbeaten. Their last defeat was in the Concacaf Gold Cup against Guatemala, although they lost on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, for its part, drew its last two friendlies against North Macedonia and Panama. The Dragons qualified for the World Cup through the UEFA Repechage, where they eliminated Italy from the 11th round. The European team arrives motivated and will not be an easy opponent for the Canadians.
The match will be played at 1:00 p.m., central Mexico time, and will be broadcast in the country on the ViX Premium platform with the 2026 World Pass. Expectations among fans are high to see the first duel in another host country.
